So as not to waste an opportunity to acquaint Members with one another, here is an image of a piece of native American pottery I photographed for Dr. Anna Roosevelt perhaps twenty years ago at the American Museum of Natural History. Dr. Roosevelt is among the persons I have shanghaied into ISALTA Membership out of extreme admiration for her work. Among her publications is The Ancestors: Native Artisans of the Americas (co-editor with J.G.E. Smith, Museum of the American Indian and U. Washington Press). CP
